You don't always pass the good opportunities, or do you?
You want to go pray because the call of Prayer is indeed as loud as the booming box of music that you play. But you choose to ignore it because your thoughts are the only words that you seem to recognise. You continue doing whatever that intrigued you to a point where fun is way too mainstream or nothing as new as those dust particles spread on the cover of thar Holy Book.
When the time passes, and you're done talking to them. A burst of regret and life happens to arrive and you notice that once again you've out-dumbed yourself.
You didn't mean to get religious but it was all you could think of when you thought if something really significant was not complete in your life. When you look in that mirror, you see a pretty face and a perfect body. But then all the those who you live to impress start articulating all their views of how you're so broad and fat. How ugly your face is. How unappealing everything else is. Don't even get yourself started on the part where you've tried a new shirt on the first time and how imperfect it looks on you. So, you want more clothes. You want more clothes to make you seem more posh and thin. Then out of nowhere, reaches out a mobile camera to snap a prettier and seemingly convincing photo of yourself to finally impress those articulative voices. Does it even matter now? Does it matter to you? You're a slave to them. However if there's a much convincing and self-satisfying response to your insecurities, then that would be an impact on how much clothing do the less-fortunate have. That would shut you up and make you wear whatever you have already and thank the Mighty Lord on this mouth-shutting and self-fortifying fact.
So after the very moaning about how unfair your life has been, something great comes forward. You raise your expectation levels so much that you lose your appetite, your dignity, your pessimism and all negativity for just an idea?
You just happen to be extra happy. Happier than the usual and hope is the only label you're choosing to wear this time.
But due to some unfortunate events, this hope is lost. The faith is lost. Taking Him for granted is all what is left. You choose to whine again about how unfair that was! Another seemingly strong conviction that changes your mind and brings you back to normal is that one line which lightens up the whole room. Ignites the fire, fills the abdomen, opens the door, sows the seed, curves the frown and eventually makes the glass of water full. That is, "Everything happens for a reason."
Yes, it's true. That'd shut you up? Allah has something better. Something so much better in store. So, ask yourself this question: IS THIS WORTH FIGHTING FOR? Is it? Then don't go around moaning when somebody else gets it. Because all in all, life is unfair. But you got to make it worth living. Worth something so much that even your loved ones look up to you.
